At Maple House, we`re building thinkers from day one. 🍂
Whether children are constructing, experimenting, creating or exploring, they`re developing the reasoning and confidence that matter far beyond nursery.
🌿 Through hands-on investigation, they discover how things work.
🌿 Through building and design, they solve problems.
🌿Through art and creativity, they learn to express ideas and trust their own thinking.
That`s aiming high at Maple House. ✨
Children learn differently when they have room to breathe, move, and explore freely. ✨
At Maple House, our huge outdoor space isn`t an add-on, it`s central to how children develop. Here, they run, climb, dig, build, problem-solve and take safe risks. They discover what their bodies can do. They learn to navigate challenges. They develop resilience not from worksheets, but from real, messy, outdoor play.
Our skilled team understands that outdoor learning is real learning. They`re out there with the children, noticing what captures their imagination, extending their thinking, helping them go deeper. A log becomes an obstacle course, a bridge, a den. Sand becomes engineering. A slope becomes an adventure.
We`re nestled in a community with strong local links, which means children experience the wider world beyond our gates; real connections with people around them.
When children have space to move, adults who truly see them, and genuine freedom to explore, that`s when they truly flourish.

Old crayons. New masterpieces. 🍁
What do you do with crayons that are too small to use? The children at Maple House discovered the answer during Zero Waste Week—you transform them!
They sorted colours, made bold decisions about which shades should blend together, and watched as old became new. They placed broken crayons into leaf-shaped moulds and created something completely their own, fresh crayons that looked like autumn leaves. That`s creative thinking in action.
As they made these new crayons, they were problem-solving, imagining, creating. They walked away with crayons they`d made themselves and the powerful realisation that old materials can become something beautiful and brand new.
Sustainability isn`t something you teach children about. It`s something they discover when they get to do it themselves. ✨
We couldn`t have put it any better ourselves... ✨
Our latest Ofsted inspection captured something that makes us proud, a strong sense of togetherness is evident in this nurturing setting. Our team works together to create an environment where children truly thrive. 🌿
Behind that togetherness is an ambitious curriculum, thoughtfully designed to stretch children`s thinking and build their capabilities. We don`t settle for `good enough`, we believe in offering children rich, purposeful learning experiences that prepare them for what comes next.
When a child is part of Maple House, they`re part of a team that believes in them. That togetherness changes everything. 💛
The Paper Chase came to life last week as part of Recycling Week! ♻️
Our preschoolers didn`t just hear the story. They became papermakers themselves, turning scraps and recycled materials into brand new paper. Tearing, soaking, pressing, squeezing, every step taught them something real about where paper comes from and why it matters to look after our planet.
Some of the best learning doesn`t look like learning at all. This is where curiosity meets sustainability, creativity meets understanding, and children discover they have the power to make something new from something old. 💚
Every child deserves to feel safe, supported and truly known. ✨
At Maple House, we genuinely believe that when children feel loved and secure, they`re free to be themselves. Our team builds genuine relationships with each child, creating a calm, nurturing space where they know they truly belong.
Because feeling safe comes before everything else. And when children feel that safety, they can relax, explore, and grow with real confidence.
It`s in the small moments, the listening, the encouragement, the consistent care. That`s where wellbeing actually happens.
Come and see what that last oks like in practice, we`d love to welcome you. 🌿
Nursery isn`t just about the hours your child spends with us, it`s about the partnership we build with you.
At Maple House, we know that children thrive when nursery and home are working together. We`re not here to replace what happens at home; we`re here to walk alongside you, share what we`re noticing about your child, and build something stronger together.
Strong parent partnerships mean your child gets consistency, continuity, and the message that the adults who love them are aligned. It means when your child is learning to be brave, or settling into friendships, or discovering what they`re curious about, you know exactly what`s happening, and you`re part of that journey.
We believe the best start isn`t something we give alone. It`s something we create together.
Your child deserves to feel that everyone in their world is on the same team. That`s what we`re committed to.

Feeling safe comes before everything else. 💛
At Maple House, we know something fundamental: children can`t learn, explore, or grow until they feel genuinely safe and secure. Not just physically safe, but emotionally held. Known. Understood.
That`s where we start. Every single day.
We build relationships that matter. We notice the small things, the moment a child feels worried, the expression that says they need comfort, the quietness that means they`re processing something. We respond. We`re present. We create an environment where children know they belong, exactly as they are.
When a child feels emotionally secure, everything changes. They become braver. More curious. More willing to try. They develop the confidence to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from them. They understand what it means to be cared for, and they learn to care for others in return.
We keep our days calm and intentional. There`s space for stillness alongside play. Time to connect alongside exploration. Because we believe that emotional wellbeing isn`t something you add on, it`s the foundation everything else is built on.
Parents tell us their children are calmer here. More settled. More themselves. They feel held, and that changes everything.
If you`re looking for a nursery where your child`s emotional world matters as much as their learning, where they`re truly seen and nurtured, we`d love to welcome you to Maple House. 🌿
